Hmm, I personally like the quicker projects because my time is so limited right now. And I tend to lose steam/interest on the larger projects. But that doesn’t apply to everyone. Basic is good but won’t challenge those that already know how to stitch. Redwork is fun but not everyone goes for it. I personally enjoy series but they take time to share.
Pro’s and con’s to all of the choices. I’d like to see you keep on sharing a variety of things to interest everyone. The only thing I don’t see is patterns with more specialty stitches. Would that fit under the advanced techniques?
i love all embroidery and really enjoy wool work.
would it be possible to have some pattens for dorset feather stitch?
but anything to give a bit if inspiration is wonderful keep up the good work thankyou Lx
Hi Lesley,
Dorset feather is a form of standard feather stitching, often using the “feathered” edge along a single side (single feather). Other times it refers to the combination of different feather stitches used in a project. Feather stitching has not yet been featured, and this would definitely be a fun subject. You’ve got me thinking of patterns to best illustrate this type of embroidery. Thanks for the suggestion!
