Dolphins in the Sun

NEW this week is this free Dolphins in the Sun Pattern featuring different variations that can be used for borders, or as a medallion.

You can use the medallion pattern to stitch beach house accessories from fabric or ready-made items including pillow cases, lamp shades, table runners and place mats, or can be used as a repeat to create a long border strip on a sheet or tablecloth. The second pattern features a medallion motif that can be used to embellish a tote, beach blanket, a pillow front, or framed as art.

The image above shows a suggested colorway for working the design, but it would look equally pretty worked in Redwork or stitched using other colors.

The dolphin patterns can be worked up quickly using basic embroidery stitches in embroidery floss or your favorite embroidery threads, and are perfect for a beginner project when teaching kids to embroider.
