Embroidery as Art: Stitching Pixels

From , Former About.com GuideNovember 19, 2012

Check out this awesome series of embroideries by London-based artist Evelin Kasikov.

The artist has created a series of stitched designs based on CMYK is a color models, combining cyan, magenta, yellow, and black to create full-color images that bring pixels and dots to life in embroidery floss.

Her recent pieces include the Print Book modeled on the 4-colour printing process, and a Touch-screen featuring stitched RGB pixels on a tablet screen.

I hope you'll visit her site to see more of the beautiful and unusual works of art that Evelin creates with her needle, or to learn more about the artist. Be sure to scroll down to the bottom of her web site so you don't miss any of her past work.

So inspiring. I can hardly wait to see what she stitches next!
