
The new stitch diagram for this week is the Japanese Darning Stitch.
Like many stitches for counted thread embroidery (a counted version is shown in the sample photo), the stitch can also be used in surface embroidery by pre-marking the placement areas with water-soluble fabric marking pen or other transfer method.
While some people have a negative opinion of these pens, I feel they are a great addition to any embroidery workbasket, and use them in nearly every project.
