Turn under the edges of the backing along the marked line.
Using the whip stitch, hand-stitch the backing to the hoop, catching the needle in the embroidery fabric and the backing as you stitch.
Be sure to keep the backing fabric tight, as this will help keep the embroidered piece in the front of the hoop from sagging over time.
