1. Daisy Wreath Embroidery Project

This free pattern is a modern version of a typical surface embroidery pattern and is a terrific skill builder, as this pattern is worked using seven of the most common surface embroidery stitches on an evenweave cotton fabric.

The circular design features a repeating pattern of flowers, leaves and tendrils and is accented with dots and stars. Bright colors have been used in this version. However, you can easily change the colors to suite your own decor.

2. Daisy Chain Cross Stitch Pattern

This FREE pattern us suitable for a beginning stitcher and features a motif with four daisies worked in cross stitch. This is a perfect summer project to bring a bit of the meadow indoors. It is worked using an assortment of variegated and over-dyed embroidery floss on Aida fabric. The different colors and tones in these flosses add depth and shading to an otherwise plain design. The solid black background adds drama.

3. Daisy Lampwork & Butterfly Earrings

6. Lazy Daisy Stitch

Learn to work the versatile Lazy Daisy stitch. This basic embroidery stitch is made using groups of detached chain stitches and can be used to embellish needlework projects, ready-made clothing, accessories and household items, or to add details to a quilting, knitting or crochet project.

7. Half Daisy Cluny Crochet Edging

This simple crochet pattern is based on an antique pattern from the year 1920 (the original pattern instructions are now old enough to be in the public domain). Originally published in the book Corticelli Lessons In Crochet, Book No. 9, published in the year 1920 by the Corticelli Silk Mills.

Work the edging using simple crochet stitches to the desired length and use it as an edging for kitchen and guest towels, tablecloths and place mats, napkins or clothing items.

8. Daisy Border Stencil

9. Make a Daisy Puppet

This project is fun for the entire family, and is a great way to recycle an old CD. Basic materials needed to make a puppet include glue, scissors, a paper plate, wiggle eyes, scraps of felt or construction paper, an old sock and pompoms.
