This free Dolphin Pattern featuring different variations that can be used for borders, or as a medallion. You can use the medallion pattern to stitch beach house accessories from fabric or ready-made items including pillow cases, lamp shades, table runners and place mats, or can be used as a repeat to create a long border strip on a sheet or tablecloth. The second pattern features a medallion motif that can be used to embellish a tote, beach blanket, a pillow front, or framed as art.

2. Daisy Chain Cross Stitch Project

Capture the season by stitching this FREE Daisy Chain Pattern. The design is worked in cross stitch, and is a perfect summer project to bring a bit of the meadow indoors. I've worked the daisies using an assortment of variegated and over-dyed embroidery floss. The different colors and tones in these flosses add depth and shading to an otherwise plain design, and the solid black background adds drama.

Work a simplified version of the Eiffel Tower and let your mind drift off to Paris! This pattern can be worked in your favorite embroidery stitches on fabric or toweling. I've worked my version on yellow and white ready-made kitchen towels using black embroidery floss for a classic, French look. Oh là là! C'est magnifique!

Celebrate the anniversary of the Seattle Space Needle! Built for the 1962 World's Fair, the iconic structure located in the Seattle Center is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. You can join in the celebration by stitching the futuristic building on a table runner, kitchen towel or tote, complete with treetops and the ubiquitous Seattle rain drops. Or, for a sunny Seattle day, eliminate the raindrops. The free Space Needle Pattern can be enlarged or reduced to any size, and embroidered using your favorite embroidery stitches.
